John H. Marling
Chairman
In a real estate career spanning over forty years, Mr. Marling has functioned as a national real estate consultant, as well as an investor and developer in the Chicago and Florida markets. Today, located in Orlando, FL, he has primary responsibility for the identification and structuring of real estate projects for Investors’ Realty, the Village Partners’ Companies, and a select group of real estate clients. This portfolio of properties has grown to over $894 million in over 30 real estate developments. His career began with real estate appraisals and consulting, receiving his MAI designation in 1974, after which he started a national real estate consulting practice with his brother, Jules, where they expanded their activities into commercial development first in the Chicago area and later in Florida. The company became a full-service real estate operation with the acquisition of the Sudler Company in 1985, adding over $150 million annually in residential sales, as well as the management of over 10,000 residential condominiums, including such landmark properties as the John Hancock Tower and Water Tower Place. Mr. Marling received his BA degree from Hamilton College in Clinton, NY, and is a Florida Licensed Real Estate Broker.
Heidi J. Marling
President
Ms. Marling is President and the owner of Investors’ Realty, which holds a 50% ownership interest in all Village Partners Companies and its properties with Philadelphia-based James S. Carr, AIA. This group of companies has completed almost a billion dollars in real estate transactions and built and developed over 5,100 multi-family units in Florida for clients, investors, and its own account. Prior to co-founding Investors’ Realty, Ms. Marling was executive vice-president for the southeastern division of Sudler Marling, Inc., a Chicago full-service real estate firm. Ms. Marling headed the sales, marketing, and management of its commercial portfolio of office and retail properties. Ms. Marling began her career with Continental Illinois bank in the International division overseeing commercial banking activities in Japan and Korea. In 1978, Ms. Marling transferred to the real estate division of the bank, managing a portfolio in excess of $250 million in the southeastern United States. She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a BS in Business Administration and an MBA in Finance. Ms. Marling is a Florida Licensed Real Estate and Mortgage Broker.
Mike Wilson
Comptroller and Senior Vice President Residence Management, Inc.
Mr. Wilson is the Comptroller for all income-producing properties and head of human resource functions for our companies. He has over 28 years of experience as an accountant in hospitality, residential, and commercial real estate, as well as development, acquisition, and property management. Prior to relocating to Central FL, Mr. Wilson worked in Washington, DC for Weichert Realtors, the Nation’s largest privately owned real estate firm, Montgomery Village Foundation, a large HOA management company, and Lowe Enterprises. Mr. Wilson attended Fairmont State University in West Virginia.
Michael E. Lee
DEVELOPMENT ANALYST AND PROJECT MANAGER
Joining Residence Management Inc. in 2013 as the leasing coordinator, Michael Lee transferred to our Investors’ Realty/RMI corporate offices in 2018, where he functions as Development Analyst and Project Manager. His responsibilities include identifying development opportunities, conducting market analyses and projecting cash flows for proposed developments. He is also responsible for planning and overseeing current development projects. Mr. Lee is a graduate of the University of Central Florida and holds a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing.
Lacy Perry
ASSET MANAGER
Lacy has been with Investors’ Realty and Residence Management, Inc. since 2010. As the Asset Manager, she oversees project efficiency and optimizes the long-term financial performance of our company’s portfolio. Prior to accepting the opportunity to relocate to work in the corporate office, Ms. Perry spent three years as the Property Manager for an RMI managed apartment community in Pensacola, FL. In addition to property management, Ms. Perry brings to the company a well-rounded background acquired through her work in in hospitality management with many independent restaurants, personal banking with Wachovia/Wells Fargo Bank N.A., and marina management services with Marina Management Corp. located in Pensacola, FL. Ms. Perry is a graduate of the University of West Florida, with a BS in Hospitality, Recreation and Resort Management.
Jiwen "Wendy" Mao
Staff Accountant
Ms. Mao is the staff accountant for all properties owned and managed by Investors' Realty, as well as Residence Management Inc. She is responsible for maintaining day-to-day financial procedures, preparation of financial statements, and preparation of all tax-related matters. Prior to joining Residence Management Inc. and Investors' Realty, Wendy worked as a staff accountant for the Orlando branch of America’s largest HOA property management company and a private real estate company. Ms. Mao received her Bachelor's degree in financial management and graduated from Johnson Wales University with a Master’s degree in accounting.
Karen Lee
SPECIAL PROJECTS AND MANAGEMENT OVERSIGHT
Karen has over 20 years’ experience in accounting and property management. After managing our 432-unit Bella Apartment community and our 308-unit “The Gate”, she transferred to our Investors’ Realty/RMI corporate offices in 2019 where she functions as our Special Projects Manager. Karen oversees the day-to-day operations for the RMI managed communities by implementing policies, procedures and practices to enable each property to meet budgeted financial goals and achieve operational performance objectives. Working with our CFO, Ms. Lee also coordinates numerous property accounting functions for the company.

Martin Holly
Director of Branding
Mr. Holly serves as the Director of Branding for Residence Management, Inc. Along with the company’s owners, he is responsible for developing, coordinating and integrating all brand-related facets of the company to include marketing, advertising and design. His primary responsibility is to find each properties position in the market and, with an in-depth understanding of our customer, create a brand that links our residents to our product. As a fine artist, his ability to merge market sensitivity with design enables him to develop a unique position for each of our assets within their specific market. Martin began his career in computer tech support for Neill Corporation and then expanded into a sales and design position for Pfizer and Ralph Lauren Polo. In 2003, he started Switch Branding to support his client base within all areas of commercial marketing and advertising to include both print, social media and film. Martin is a graduate of Loyola University of New Orleans with a degree in Fine Arts (concentration in graphic art/design); he has worked with RMI since 2005.
James S. Carr, A.I.A.

Formerly a senior partner of the nationally recognized architectural firm, The Martin Organization, Mr. Carr has worked extensively with homebuilders and developers throughout the U.S. on over 250,000 residential units. As a co-owner of Village Partners, Mr. Carr has developed over 5,100 multi-family units in Florida for our clients, investors, and his own account. Over a 30+ year career, his main focus has been on multi-family communities and mixed-use developments. Mr. Carr received his BA in Architecture and Master of Arts in City Planning from Drexel University. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, the National Association of Home Builders, and a former Director of Alliance Bank in Springfield, PA.
Ed Biggs
Director of Design Development
Ed Biggs comes to Residence Management, Inc. with over 30 years of design experience having completed projects throughout the U.S., England, and the Cayman Islands. Working with RMI since 2000, he has been instrumental in implementing the face and identity of each community through creative interior design solutions. As a member of our team, he works alongside ownership at the early stages of acquisition and development to ensure each project is developed to offer our market the latest in design, technology, function, style and beauty. Ed started his career in New York City as the Manager of a prestigious antiques firm selling to the trade and subsequently left for a position with Federated Stores in Florida. After five years with Federated, he opened a highly successful upscale retail furnishing store in Sarasota, which he ran for fifteen years, before selling it to focus on design solutions for the resort, hotel and multifamily industry through Biggs Design Group, LLC. Ed is a Licensed Interior Designer in the State of Florida and has been published nationally in Home Magazines as well as the Washington Post and Houston Chronicle for his innovative residential, resort and commercial interiors. Ed brings an enormous amount of creative energy to all projects, designed, and built by our affiliates, and managed by RMI.
